IKS Program Partners with 17 Institutions for 2025–2026 Fall Semester Practicum
The Social Welfare Studies Program (IKS) of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication at UIN Sunan Kalijaga has officially dispatched 100 students from the Class of 2022 for a three-month Social Work Practicum, running from October through December 2025.
The program partners with 17 strategic institutions, including Yayasan Sayap Ibu Yogyakarta, Rumah Zakat Yogyakarta, Cebongan Correctional Facility, Wirogunan Correctional Facility, Narcotics Correctional Facility, SMK Veteran, UPTTD PPA Bantul, Yayasan Rumah Impian, SERBUK, BPSTW Pakem, BPRSW Godean, BRSBR Sleman, Paguyuban Pengajar Pinggir (P3S) Code, Dr. Sardjito General Hospital, IPWL Indocharis, LAZNAS IZI Yogyakarta, and the Disability Services Center (PLD) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
The practicum emphasizes hands-on social work interventions across the micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Each student will undergo the full professional sequence—from engagement, intake, and contracting to assessment, planning, intervention, and termination—following the recognized standards of social work practice.
With the support of its partner institutions, the initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of IKS students as future professional social workers prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
