One of these new viruses that attack the respiratory system has caught the world's attention until the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic.

The government and various elements of society have handled it seriously. In fact, 74.9% of cases recovered are also inseparable from the contribution of handling that has been carried out by various elements of society, including health workers, social workers, and various professions and other elements who have contributed a lot. Strong synergy is encouraged to be actively involved and consistent in handling the ongoing pandemic.

The role of medical social workers is very much at stake, as cases of Covid-19 continue to increase. Many things are the responsibility of medical social workers in handling this case. For example; social workers must provide full intervention to encourage healing. The stigma that is built up in the community when you are convicted of Covid-19 makes it very stressful, you don't want to be taken, and so on. This is a big challenge for social workers and medical personnel in doing joint work. Besides, along with people's saturation with limited activities a few months earlier, it also became a tough challenge during the new normal. The importance of continuing education and handling. Social workers and health workers must also ensure the resources they have when cases continue to escalate so that the quality of services is maintained.
