EL-TALK: Sharing Passion with Social Work Student
To foster stronger relationships among students and share internship experiences, Social Work Profession Development Laboratory (LP3S) of the Social Welfare Studies Program (IKS) organized an event called El-Talk with the theme Sharing Passion with Social Work Students. The event took place on Friday, November 29, from 8:00 to 10:00 AM WIB, in the Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication (FDK) building.
This casual discussion featured three Social Work students from Sydney University — Shannon Marquez, Dylan Walker, and Lola Fudge — who are currently engaged in volunteering and internship activities at social organizations in Yogyakarta.
Over the course of two hours, each speaker shared their experiences in volunteering and interning in various countries, including Indonesia.
During the sharing session, the Program Head, Muhammad Izzul Haq, provided an overview of the curriculum in the IKS program, which includes multi-level intervention approaches. Additional insights were offered by Andayani, the Program Head from 2016–2020.
At the end of the event, a group photo was taken, and it was agreed to follow up with a similar forum online for future sharing sessions.
